CRHL Rules Update Winter 2016/2017

Here’s a quick rundown of some of the rules for the winter 2016/2017 season including some small changes:

Players need to play 7 of 16 regular season games in order to be eligible for playoffs
High sticking the puck will be immediately called, referees will no longer wait for possession
Facial protection is not mandatory but highly recommended
- Players without facial protection are not covered under any insurance
Players can play on two teams in the same division, but have to choose a team when playoff elimination games arrive
- If one team is eliminated, the player cannot rejoin the other team
1 game suspensions cannot be appealed
Rescheduled games require 2 weeks notice
Forfeited games will result in the loss of the $150 security bond
