CRHL Rules Update Winter 2016/2017
Here’s a quick rundown of some of the rules for the winter 2016/2017 season including some small changes:
- Players need to play 7 of 16 regular season games in order to be eligible for playoffs
- High sticking the puck will be immediately called, referees will no longer wait for possession
- Facial protection is not mandatory but highly recommended
- Players without facial protection are not covered under any insurance
- Players can play on two teams in the same division, but have to choose a team when playoff elimination games arrive
- If one team is eliminated, the player cannot rejoin the other team
- 1 game suspensions cannot be appealed
- Rescheduled games require 2 weeks notice
- Forfeited games will result in the loss of the $150 security bond
